Ooook-lahoma Where the Wind Comes Sweepin’ Down the Plain

I’m an Oklahoma native.

My daughter and I made a trip last weekend to the state where my roots are.  The main reason for the trip was to support my sister during a sad family matter we needed to address together. (I’ll share that story in my next couple of posts).

Many times when I’m visiting Oklahoma, I’m reminded of the relentless wind that is sure to make any good hair day turn bad.

Saturday the wind was strong with gusts up to 30 mph.

My sister, Sissy Jo and I were at my grandmother’s house and discussing the wind and I mentioned how I wanted to capture it in a picture.

We needed a scarf or something to fly in the wind for our photo shoot.

“Grandma, where are your scarves?”

The result of sisters with a camera.

I’m thankful for my sister.

Thank you, Karen. We did have a fun time. Last time my sister and I were together we demonstrated how to take terrible self portraits. I haven’t posted those photos because they are quite unflattering and she would probably disown me…but we laughed until we cried. Oh, good times.
