Halloween: It’s all About the Candy

This week, I’m blogging for the Arkansas Women Bloggers BLOGtober Fest Challenge. Click on the AWB BLOGtober Fest button at the right to see what other Arkansas Women Bloggers are posting. They are fantastic!

Day 2: Halloween Memories

Halloween is all about the candy for me.

And it still is.

I can’t recall which year I was given the freedom to be in control of my Halloween candy haul and hoard it in my room for 24 hour access.

Whatever year that was…I was not ready for such temptation.

At 43, I’m still not ready.

Halloween is a little like this for Trick-or-Treaters at my house.

I can’t be trusted with Halloween candy. Even the candy no one wants.

You know those pieces that are always at the bottom of the bowl.

I’ll go there.

So, if you see me eating a bit-o-honey…I’m in a bad place. Feel free to intervene.

Halloween candy, I love you.

What are your Halloween memories? What is your favorite Halloween candy?

Don’t forget to check out what the other Arkansas Women Bloggers are posting about their Halloween Memories for BLOGtober Fest.

Let me know if you need someone to take the Bit-o-Honey off your hands. It is the ONE candy my sister will eat. She loves it. I don’t quite get it. 🙂 And, at 47, my favorite part of having four kids is the H’ween candy. I feel you!!!

Gina, that it’s good to know someone likes those! I’ll save them for your sister! I don’t know what I’d do with four kids bringing home their candy hauls. I take that back…I’d secretly pick all my favorites out and stash them in a safe place.

TateFarmGirl, I will save my Bit-o-Honeys for you! Guess I implied they were the worst, but I will eat them. Taste is so subjective. Hope I didn’t offend! I saw those orange marshmallowy circus peanuts were on a top worst Halloween candy list and I actually love those. I love Tootsie Rolls and Sweet Tarts as well! Yay, candy!

Do you dress in costumes & trick or treat? What is it like there? In the US it seems to be a big commercial push to buy decorations, candy and costumes. Did I see that you carve pumpkins? Do you have another holiday that we may not celebrate as much but you do? So interesting!
      Loved your dog pictures!
