If you are interested in the history of the Mississippi Delta in as well as the design of the Mississippi River levee system, check out Rising Tide: the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927 and How it Changed America, by John M. Barry.

I read this book before we moved to the Delta and I have been inqtrigued with the history of this area as well as the Mississippi River and its flood control strategy. No spoiler alert here, except there may be some levees involved.

Have you read this book?

I’m going to have the Levee Collection framed in floating frames and will share them with you soon.

There’s one more painting coming up for the the Thirty Paintings in 30 Day.

Thanks for joining me for Day 29.
