A Painting A Day for 30 Days – Day 2

Even though my workshop with Yvonne Sangster ended yesterday, I’m still in the beautiful town of Mountain View, Ark. celebrating my dear sweet friend’s birthday and the painting workshop we were attending. This year ended up during my friend, MeMe’s birthday weekend.

Today’s painting is

deltamoxie art, oil painting, painting a day, painting a day artists, floral, floral Arkansas, Arkansas Artist, bouquet of flowers, portrait in oil, Kellee Mayfield, A painting a Day in 30 days

Let’s Ride the Levee, 8×8″ oil on canvas.

So, we celebrated. MeMe’s friends are the most incredible foodies and cooks. I’m on a mission to make onion confit to take to a neighborhood happy hour. If I can make it a fraction as good as what I tasted today…I’ll be happy.

I am enamored with the southeast Arkansas landscape and love the light on the levee. Here’s how I captured the landscape for Day 2 of Leslie Saeta’s A Painting A Day for 30 Days.

Thank you for joining me. Please feel free to share.

What are you working on? Have you ever been on the Mississippi River Levee?

Sharon, I missed you this last week. Hope you are doing well. I think of your daily art often and how inspiring it is. Thank you! Riding the levee is something special, isn’t it?
