For the first time in many years, my family of three is sharing Thanksgiving with my side of the family in Oklahoma.
Since I have been traveling so much for work lately, my husband generously drove us from the southeast corner of Arkansas and to the middle of Oklahoma.
For this afternoon’s activities, I have a plan but I need all of my people (daughter) to work with me.
Our daughter performed as a pilgrim last week in a school play. I found a woman on Etsy who made the costume to her size and it fits and it looks…well, like it was made just for her.
Emmy Jo and I have been in negotiations regarding a second wearing of the pilgrim costume for our Thanksgiving festivities. I sense her reluctancy, but she has agreed to parade around in the costume for 30 minutes. She threw in a 15 minute bid and I pushed for an hour as before a blink of my eyes, she’ll be grown out of this costume. We need to get some good use of this seasonal get-up…and my family will gobble it up. (If she’s miserable, I’ll adjust our agreement.)
So Happy Thanksgiving and many blessings.
And thank you for reading Delta Moxie. Are you traveling this holiday? If you are, safe travels.
I’m introducing my Kale Salad at our meal. You can find it on Arkansas Women Bloggers here.
