Cotton Field at Dusk in Pastel

This morning I’ve been working on this pastel before I go out on Lake Chicot with the girls today.

Cotton Field at Dusk pastel ampersand pastelbord

Cotton Field at Dusk (unfinished) in pastel, 20″ x 16″

It isn’t finished, but I’m getting close.

The Delta landscape is inspiring.

I never know how my cotton is going to look, but this what it looks like right now.

You may be able to see this, along with a few other pieces, in Little Rock next week. I’ll keep you updated and will give you details of when and where.

What do you think? It’s a bigger than what I usually do.
