It Finally Feels Like Summer

That groundhog was wrong when he predicted an early spring this year. Our spring has been chilly and rainy. It hasn’t been that warm in southeast Arkansas until now.

At our house, it’s officially summer because our daughter’s last day of school was Friday. This is the first weekend we’ve been on the lake…and oh, it was fun.

Play that song Pontoon by Little Big Town and put it on repeat, because that exemplifies life on Lake Chicot.

lake chicot, finally summer

We ended the weekend with a crawfish boil at a neighbors. These mudbugs were tasty.

Thank you Ferri’s for inviting us to the crawfish boil. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

How was your weekend? Hope it was great. Are you ready for summer?

I am sooooo ready to hit the lake! (Lake Norfork for me…) I live in Dallas where it is already horribly hot and humid. But my pool was nice yesterday:)) Love Pontoon. Listen to it on repeat All.The.Time:))

      Talya,
I love Lake Norfork! We used to live in Mountain View and would visit Lake Norfork some. Your pool is the perfect remedy for hot, humid Texas days. I could listen to that song all the time, too! 🙂
