If you are friends with me in real life, you are more than likely a friend of mine on Facebook and you’ve probably noticed me sharing information about entering a giveaway…okay…lots of giveaways. I’ve registered for so many Country Outfitter Boot giveaways that I had several friends ask if my Facebook account had been hacked. After attending the Arkansas Women Bloggers Conference in August, I learned that these giveaways are for real. Since that meeting, I’ve wanted to win two items from Arkansas based companies…some boots from Country Outfitter and a Spiral Smoked Ham from Petit Jean Meats.
Well, the week before Thanksgiving I was notified that I had won a Petit Jean Spiral Smoked Ham from Alison Chino’s Blog Chino House at Alisonchino.com! (One of my new Arkansas Women Blogger friends). And as promised it was delivered to my door right before Thanksgiving! It was the most beautiful ham I had ever seen. My husband was so impressed. Thank you, Alison and Petit Jean Meats!
Let me show you.
Petit Jean Meats is a privately owned Arkansas company which offers the finest smoked meats. When I grocery shop and bacon is on my list…I seek out Petit Jean Meats bacon. If a store doesn’t carry Petit Jean Meats, I have been known to delay my bacon purchase. I’m sorta bacon snobby that way. Now I know their hams are just as delicious.
Unable to find Petit Jean Meats in your area? You can purchase their items online and it will be shipped right to your door. As I was posting this, I noticed there were 12 days left to place an order with free ground shipping to arrive just in time for Christmas. I am strongly considering ordering an entire turkey dinner, not to mention a bacon and ham sampler or two or three for gifts.
- Disclosure: I was randomly selected to receive a Petit Jean Meats Spiral Sliced Ham from a alisonchino.com giveaway and this is my way of saying thank you! That’s it.

This kind, creative wife and mom of four loves her some camping. From campfires down to her sleeping bag. She loves her family, cruises and books, too. And Alison is an Arkansan. Usually on Wednesdays, she reflects on her outfits of the past week in pictures on What I Wore Wednesday (WIWW). Alison was one of the first people I met at the Arkansas Women Bloggers Unplugged conference in August and she is one of my favorite people. You can read and see Alison’s adventures at Chino House at alisonchino.com.
By the way, my friend Vera “Vee” won my local giveaway for two tickets to the Lake Village Country Club Tennis Association Dinner Theatre. Congratulations, Vee!
I still can’t believe I won that ham!
Have you entered any giveaways? What have you won? What would you like to win?
