At our house, we don’t drag out store bought salad dressing bottles.
Your salad is served dressed in this tangy Lemon Vinaigrette. (Call us the salad dressing dictators.)
I always get compliments when I make this Easy Lemon Vinaigrette. Friends and family are either being their superb southern selves and just being nice or they must really like it.
I’m going to share the recipe. (It’s so easy that I feel as though I’m sharing a recipe for boiling water.) Adjust it to your tastes.
I learned a secret living in the Delta from my friend Bea regarding salads.
The key to dressing your salad is using your own fancy kitchen gadgets called your hands.
It is important to touch each piece of your salad with your hands and coat it with your Easy Lemon Vinaigrette.
I’m telling you nothing else will do this task like your hands.
So first, wash your hands one more time.
Now, the salad is dressed and we serve with appropriate utensils…or use your hands.
Extra special thanks to my friend Michelle Jo for being my photographer last night at Jamie Jo’s house. (I’m considering nicknaming all of my southeast Arkansas friends I mention in the blog their name + Jo.)
I leave you with a special photo of Jamie Jo’s front porch.
